The Sino-Foreign Postgraduate Academic Conference is an innovative platform created by the Jiangsu University to afford students both Chinese and Foreign, the opportunity to share their academic knowledge, exchange cultural views and exhibit their skills. It also aims at enhancing the public speaking and presentation skills of students and provide an avenue for collaboration between schools/colleges and universities in China and abroad. This initiative is jointly hosted by the Graduate School, Graduate Students' Affair Department, Overseas Education College and the Youth League Committee.
This year's conference, the 9th in the series, had six (6) sub forum groups comprising of Engineering Groups 1-3, the Life and Medicinal Sciences group, the Business and Finance group as well as the Culture Exchange group.
The School of Food and Biological Engineering (FBE) was drawn in Engineering sub forum group 1 together with the sub-forum organizer; School of Environment and Safety Engineering. The others in the group were School of Material Science and Engineering and the School of Chemical Engineering. The Engineering Sub-forum group 1 worked under the theme "Environmental Protection, Green Materials, Chemical Industry and Food Safety" this year.
At the end of the forum, all the foreign students from our school who participated emerged winners of awards along with some other Chinese students. Thus, they were awarded certificates for excellency in these three noteworthy categories;

Best Poster Award: Nana Adwoa Serwah Boateng, Hafida Wahia, Moses Kwaku Golly, Benjamin Kumah Mintah, Huangboen Lan, Yachun Gu, Rouling Lin, Esa Abiso Godana.
Best felicitations to the award winners. We wish them well in future engagements and hope they bring more laurels to the SFBE. Next year is more promising and we are looking forward to having more Foreign students participate in the Sino-Foreign Postgraduate Academic Conference for Personal, Academic and Organizational development as a whole.
