On May 30th, 2018, The graduate school held a fascinating event called Cross cultural park , the program involved multiple activities that provided students with opportunities of learning from one other’s experiences and also promoted intercultural learning.The event was organized by Postgraduate Association of School of Food and Biological Engineering, Youth League Committee of the School, postgraduate Association of School of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology as well as The Youth League Committee of School, all of Jiangsu University.The theme of the tenth "Cross Culture Park" communication activity is "Sharing Economy on Campus", Which aims to promote the exchange between Chinese and International graduate students and fully reflect the advantages of that Jiangsu University has a high level of communication.Some of the international and Chinese students shared their experience with the assistance about their daily life story with shared bicycle and electric bike. According to them, one of the advantages of the shared bikes is that they allow the students to ride from the station to another without return. In effect, it ensures a reasonable transportation price, therefore, helping the students to arrive on time to their classes.With sharing economy, the way of life of students on campus has changed a lot, however the rise of the sharing economy has led to some difficulties in management, such as considering the bicycle as their own.The cultural exchange experience was adoptive to the international students especially after returning to their home countries. In return Chinese students learnt from international guests and gained a mutual respect and understanding for new cultures. A total of 17 Chinese students and 16 international students participated in the event.
