The 2nd China-UK Food Detection Forum was jointly held by Jiangsu University and the University of Leeds from 24 to 26 Nov. 2017 at Jiangsu University. Yan Xiaohong, the president of Jiangsu University, and Duan Xiong, the deputy director of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department, addressed the opening ceremony. At the ceremony, Prof. Yan Xiaohong appointed Prof. Malcolm Povey and Peter Yun as Jiangsu University’s honorary Professors; meanwhile, we appointed Chen Ying, Lan Yubin, Wang Shuo, Yang Xinting, Zhang Shihua and Liu Muhua as the members of academic committee of this lab; we appointed Yin Hua, Xu Baocai, Yu yongjian, Wu Jianfeng, Shao xingjun, Xia rong, Yin Xiaoping and Fang zhibin as the industry professor and the advisor for graduate students. A scholarship named “Jiewen Scholarship” was founded in this lab for graduate students of this lab. This forum has invited domestic and foreign well-known experts and business leaders in the field of food detection to share the latest research progress of nondestructive, remote sensing technologies and big data for food detection.
