On 15th April, 2017, School of Food and Biological Engineering held an activity to explore the Chinese Tea Culture. Foreign students together with Chinese students went to a specialized tea house named RUN MING YUAN in Zhenjiang. All students experienced how Chinese people make tea; it’s not as simple as just pouring how water in a cup that we usually do, but there is more about it. Then, all students played a game named "Ji Gu Chuan Hua" and everyone got a chance to learn a lot about tea together with the history of it, culture, advantages and also the art of making tea."I used to drink tea with milk in my hometown, but I didn't expect the Chinese to be able to taste the essence of tea through a few simple steps, it is impressive." a Pakistan student said.
It was not only a demonstration, but students got their chances to practice by themselves too. This activity is a great opportunity for students to experience the Chinese culture.
