To promote interdisciplinary international exchanges and cooperation between foreign and Chinese students, the university organized the Sixth Sino-foreign Postgraduate Forum held in Academic Auditorium on Nov.13, 2016.
This activity was hosted by the Graduate School, Overseas Education College and Communist Youth League, associated by the School of Chemical Engineering in collaboration with the School of Food and Biological Engineering, School of Materials and School of Environmental Science.
At the start of the activity, the host introduced the guests involved in the academic forum, including secretary Zhang and pro. Yuqing Duan from School of Food and Biological Engineering. This activity was divided into two parts including oral presentation and voting for the best posters. Students in our college who participated in oral presentation were Meiyan Wang, Yi Xu, KWABENA AGYEMANG, Xinjuan Sun , Sarpong Frederick and Xue Yang. This forum received more than ninety copies of academic wall posters. During the tea break, students were allowed to go to the centre of the hall to watch and vote for best academic wall posters. After the fierce competition, Xinjuan Sun of 92.87 points won the third place and Ofori, Felix, Mengqin Zhao eventually won the award for best wall posters.
The Sixth Sino-foreign Postgraduate Forum was successfully held, which provided a high starting point and multi-field communication platform for graduate students which have the potential of widening their academic views. All these inspired their scientific research enthusiasm as well as creating a positive and healthy academic atmosphere. It was helpful as it encouraged graduate students to do academic research and enhanced cordial relationship between the Chinese and foreign graduate students.
