On Oct. 10, Jie Song from Shanghai Jiao Tong University was appointed part-time professor of Jiangsu University. At the ceremony, Ma Haile, Dean of School of Food and Biological Engineering, granted Jie Song a letter of appointment, pinned a Jiangsu University emblem for him. Dean Ma Haile made a brief introduction of prof. Song’s Curriculum Vitae and major academic achievements. After the ceremony, prof. Jie Song made a lecture entitled Advanced AFM and TEM development and biomedical application.
Prof. Jie Song is from the Department of Instrument Science and Engineering in the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his BA degree in Physics at 2009 from Lanzhou University and his PhD degree in Biophysics at 2014 from Aarhus University. Then Prof. Song worked as Post.Doc in Denmark, Aarhus University and in US, Emory University for Two years. He was awarded the “Thousand Youth Talents” at 2016. Prof. Song has co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, including Nature, Nature Nano, Nature Chemistry, Nature Communication, PNAS, JACS, et al. Prof. Song’s current research focuses on medical instrument development, high resolution dynamic imaging, single cell manipulation, and DNA nanotech for biomedical application.
